Mega Man: Ex SNES Hit Game will become A social RPG on iOS

The Capcom company has already tried several times to transfer its famous game series Mega Man to iOS. Firstly, it was Mega Man II - the port of the telephone version, which didn’t have the handy controls and captivating gameplay at start, but, fortunately, thanks to the various updates, Mega Man II became resemble the NES original more and got more comfortable controls, but it was not a hit.

Then the second attempt was - Mega Man X, the SNES port, felt better on iOS than its precursor, but graphically was worse than the original game. Moreover, despite of all positive changes, the controls still had problems.

And soon, the third attempt should come. New part of the famous game will come to iOS devices under the title Mega Man Xover.

According to the developers, in Mega Man Xover the gamer can design and build his own robot and fight with enemies in… a social RPG. Yes, it’s true. Capvom really wants to transfer Mega Man platform style to the social environment, surely by adding the close integration with Facebook and the necessity to buy energy with real money and friends likes.

Besides, according to screenshots, the gameplay of Xover will looks like the endless runner, such popular in App Store now.

Of course, in design the idea with the endless-social runner with RPG elements looks not bad (especially for developers), but the fans surely expected for something more close to the original game.

The game release is planned to be this fall, it will appear in Japanese App Store.
