Description:
Once upon a time was an iPhone game Cartoon Wars. It was (and still is) a common representative of the war games genre. It means your army from the left side, enemies from the right, we build different soldiers, who fight with opponents and try to defeat him. Then the developers decided to leave the current graphics style but to change the genre. And then the game Cartoon Wars: Gunner appeared. In this game you rule one of soldiers, fighting alone against thousands of enemies, and becomes stronger, faster and agiler. And then, a smart idea comes to the authors: what if to mix the first game with the second? Thus, the a game Cartoon Wars: Heroes has appeared.

Basically, I have already described the hence of the game: there are two parts – war missions and our hero upgrade. The missions are almost independent from each other. Or rather it looks like – won in the war mode in some location, then get this location for hero adventures. According to the story line the hero protects the castle alone against the remains of enemy forces. Also hero’s and army’s paths crossed in special missions, which are happened each two or three missions in the war mode. Very often the aim of such mission is to defeat some high-level opponents, so they can’t spoil your plans. You should use such possibility in any case, because very often having loosed in the hero mission you will fail with the war one.
War mode is ordinary. There is our castle, and our enemy has it s own. We need to accumulate mana to summon different troops and use special abilities. These abilities are used to cause damage of this or that kind (arrows, bullets, lights) to enemy soldiers. There are many soldiers type in the game. Starting from simple swordsmen and to Huge Humanlike Robots. The space between them take spearmen, archers, riflemen, war machines and so on. And these are only corps, and each of them contains variety of different detachments. And for desert you have 20 different flying units. So, you will have enough variants for war carrying out.
During the missions we receive money by killing enemies. Not for mission completing, but exactly for killing. You can earn enough money at low levels. This money you can spend to open new troops, buy new special abilities and to upgrade your castle. Both special abilities and castle upgrades have a great variety, like in troops’ selection. It seems, the developers decided to make as much as possible and overload gamers with abundance of possibilities. And they were right. To have a choice is perfect. By the way, you can also choose your alter ego. There are six heroes for your selection, but in the begining of the game you have only two of them, because you just don't have enough money to open others.
Some words about graphics. It is relative somewhat. It means, that we can consider the idea to depict a human in such style – a circle and five lines, but in fact, if the troops were depicted in normal way, it looks much better. Looking at the screenshots you should decide beforehand - would it be enough for you, because Cartoon Wars 2 for iPhone is just that case when the picture can spoil all pleasure from the game. But, in comparison with the first part, there is a little progress.
Features
- Original graphics
- Variety of units
- Interesting gameplay
- Hero’s upgrade
General Summary
In general we can recommend this game to those people who enjoyed first two parts. Most of the people, spolit with bight graphics of the top games, react definitely negatively at Cartoon Wars 2 for iPhone. It also can be tried by the war games lovers. But, such fans should already know this game and have their opinion about graphics. So, Cartoon Wars 2 its not a game for everybody. But, if not to pay attention to the graphics, it’s not too bad.
